About
I’m Brian Schneider, a people and talent leader with more than 20 years of in-house experience building and scaling people functions across high-growth technology companies and large enterprises. I started in recruiting, with college recruiting at Microsoft and Electronic Arts, scaled hiring at Zynga, and led talent and people work at Vevo, Change.org, HackerRank, Credit Karma, and Hadrian.
Talent acquisition is where my expertise runs deepest, built across years of leading hiring in some of the most competitive talent markets in tech. People operations is where I spend most of my time, because the systems and infrastructure underneath the function decide whether anything else holds together. At Credit Karma I built talent enablement from the ground up during hypergrowth, then led people operations across programs, analytics, shared services, onboarding, compliance, and M&A. Most recently I led people operations at Hadrian through a period of rapid scaling.
This site is where I write down how I think the work should be done, for the people deciding how to build or fix their recruiting function. The point of view is consistent. Recruiting is a forecasting and capacity problem, and operations is the layer that makes the forecast real. AI raises the value of both when it’s used as an operating advantage rather than a list of tools.
Work with me
I take on this work through Foresight Insight, the practice I founded in 2018 and relaunched in 2026. The common asks: building or scaling a TA or people operations function, evaluating and implementing recruiting and HR systems, redesigning hiring processes, and helping teams adopt the tools changing how the function operates. If you’re building one of these and want a second set of eyes, Foresight Insight is where to find me.
